Katharine Carruthers is the Director of the UCL Institute Of Education (IOE) Confucius Institute for Schools.Katharine has played a leading role in promoting and developing the study of Chinese and China across the curriculum in schools in England. This work has been made possible by the establishment of the Confucius Institute and 37 Confucius Classrooms - supported by the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) in partnership with Peking University and Peking University High School. The IOE Confucius Institute is an outstanding example of strong, successful partnership working.

Mr Wu is an award-winning reporter and editor on business and finance issues in China and Asia Pacific region. He was the SOPA award winner in 2008 for business reporting. Peter Lacy is managing director for Growth, Strategy and Sustainability within Accenture Strategy and is part of its Leadership Team. He is also a member of Accenture's Global Leadership Council, and leads Accenture's relationship with the World Economic Forum and the Digital Transformation of Industries program.
RUPERT HAMMOND-CHAMBERS - PRESIDENT OF US-TAIWAN BUSINESS COUNCIL
Mr. Hammond-Chambers was born and raised in Scotland before emigrating to the United States in 1987 and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Denison University. As a new graduate in 1991, he worked for Advanced Telecommunications Corporation (ATC), managing a variety of clients with business interests in the Caribbean and Latin America.

MINISTER COUNSELLOR JIN XU - MINISTER COUNCIL OF THE CHINESE EMBASSY
After studying in Beijing, Dublin and at Harvard, and serving at the Chinese Embassy in Ankara, Mr. Jin Xu has been gone on to represent the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM). From 1991 to 1992, he was Section Chief at the European Union Division of the Department of European Affairs of MOFCOM.
