Chinese Government Friendship Award recipient, Alistair Michie, becomes Honorary Chairman of the Sino British Summit

On the 24th of July, Alistair Michie, recipient of The Chinese Government Friendship Award and advisor to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, was appointed Honorary Chairman of the Sino British Summit. Michie gave the Summit a High degree of recognition and appreciation during his meeting with Summit founder, Ryan Li.

Michie has been a consultant to the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of the People's Republic of China since 2014 And has made several contributions to the State Council and the Chinese Premier with regards to national policy. In recognition to his outstanding contribution to China's modernization and development, Michie was awarded the Chinese Government Friendship Award in 2013 which, at the time, was the highest award in its field.
In addition to this, Mr Michie has given advice to the President of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs and was invited to accompany the delegation organized by the China Public Diplomacy Association to the UK in March 2015 for its Study into the political situation in the UK and Europe. Mr Michie is also sits as the Secretary General of the British East Asian Commission, which is dedicated to building a platform of communication For business elites and former politicians in China and the UK.
