George Parker is the editor of the Financial Times and is the longest-serving political editor of any daily national newspaper since he took on his current role in 2007. Prior to that, he was the FT’s bureau chief in Brussels, and was heading the paper’s EU coverage. After graduating from Queen Mary's University of London, he worked at Western Morning News. He has also accompanied George Osborne on one of his recent trips to China, and has a keen interest in Sino-British relations.
